Once in a while, in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale.

“Who’s Andrew?” asks Emma, peering over his shoulder at the post-it he had stuck to the casing of his computer.

“Some guy I hit on the 405 today,” says Jesse, hitting the spacebar on his keyboard with more emphasis than was necessary.

“You hit a guy on the 405 and then got his number? Only you,” says Emma.

“What are you even talking about?” demands Jesse. “It’s not like I’m devastatingly attractive. I fully expected him to sue me.”

“You’re devastatingly adorable,” says Emma. “No one can stay mad at you. They take one look at your dimples and fold into a pile of mush.”
