TSN au inspired by 30 Rock episode Up All Night

“Hi,” Mark said to the RA behind the counter, holding out his package slip. “I have a package?”

“One second,” she said, and she disappeared into the back room. A moment later, she reappeared holding a bouquet of roses.

Mark stared at them. “What?”

“These are for you,” she said. “Here you go.”

Mark took them and found the card. It read Happy Valentine’s Day in neat type, and then love you and thinking about you. - E.

“I don’t know anyone whose name starts with E,” he told the RA. She shrugged.

“There are these, too,” she said, and she held out a heart-shaped box of candy.

Mark took them back to his room and set the flowers on his desk. They looked hideously out of place against the clutter. Mark adjusted them, frowning, and wondered who they were from.

The question of the flowers wasn’t answered until two days later when a thin, tan boy in a puffy North Face jacket came to the door. “Hi,” he said, waving a little. “I’m Eduardo Saverin. I know this is kind of a weird question to ask, but did you maybe get a bouquet of flowers on Valentine’s Day?”

“Yeah,” Mark said hesitantly. “They’re from you?”

“Well, kind of,” Eduardo said. “I was sending them to my girlfriend. She lives the next floor up, I guess someone must have just mixed it up?”

“Oh,” Mark said, feeling weirdly disappointed. “Um, you can come in if you want — I still have them.”

“No, no,” Eduardo said, waving his hand. “Keep them. They were delivered to you.” He flashed Mark a brilliant smile and said, “Happy Valentine’s Day…”

“Mark,” Mark supplied.

“Mark,” Eduardo repeated. “I’ll see you around.”

and then other stuff happens where Eduardo comes by for some reason and Mark hasn’t thrown the flowers out yet and later Eduardo breaks up with his girlfriend and things are weird but Mark sends Eduardo anonymous admirer letter and ~stuff happens~.
